There is a war by governments of NY and CA to charge oil companies for climate change damage.  Some groups claim 40 companies worldwide are responsible for 67% of global warming/climate change.  Avoid oil company stocks at this time.  California and New York are enacting laws and rules to make it very difficult for drilling and oil companies and can be viewed as a hostile and detrimental to the overall reputation of big oil and likely will see more and more investors and funds avoid these stocks causing prices to fall regardless of profitably.  Just keep an eye out.  Taking no political side of the fence in this issue, I merely note what is in the news and reflect on how that may affect a holding.  NOTE; Always check with your financial licensed professional before making investment decisions.
