TESLA STOCK FALLING OVERALL STOCK/EQUITIES SELLING OFF.   BONDS AND 26 WEEK TREASURIES LOOKING BETTER THAN STOCKS AT THIS TIME

Feb 6, 2023. Tesla going strong at $194.00 at Monday’s opening.  Still a ways to go before it corrects and goes down.

Jan 27, 2023 Tesla on fire today the stock price hit $177 and change.  There could be some correction (stock goes down) in the days ahead.  Lots of good news on the front for Tesla with a good earnings report as well as today’s economic data reporting US Gross Domestic Product doing ok (GDP) but the main driving force in my opinion for Tesla is it has a great product that stands alone.

Jan 24, 2023 Pics and Why…

Tesla lowered the price of one of it’s Model Y by $13,000 to $52,990, to make it qualify for the federal tax credit of $7500. towards any taxes a person may owe. If you calculate that it makes the car cost about $45K. The young consumers all want a Tesla in the metropolitan areas and young people drive markets in many ways. It was also quoted as the best selling luxury car in 2022 in a recent article in the WSJ. When the Wall Street Journal compared the new Mercedes-Benz’s EQB electric SUV 2023 350 4MATIC priced at $62,480 (with 0-60 in 6 seconds) in an article by Dan Neil Sat/Sun Jan 21, 2023, it was reported that Tesla in 2022 “handily ousted BMW to become the bestselling luxury car brand in the U.S., with Mercedes-Benz coming in third”. The article further stated, “Tesla had the margins to give. All the company’s super-scaled innovations – the high pressure die casting of large aluminum structures (mega-casting), the vast gigafactories for producing batteries-have been strategic leaps intended to reduce unit costs, with the knock-on effect being lower prices.”

These all point to why the stock is a value at $149.00 and much of the sell off may have been just a knee jerk reaction to statements made that investors felt Musk would not be managing Tesla as well once he purchased Twitter. Additionally, Tesla makes more profit on its EVs than some competitors but even more fundamental is the desire to own a Tesla. They are streamlined and super fun to drive according to most younger people I have spoken to that have driven the car.

Jan 10, 2022 Today’s stock pics .. DO Diamond Offshore and Bonds The bond market has been recovering and is looking nice and for older investors it makes sense. You can now get decent returns on bonds and bank CD’s and with very little risk and that makes good sense now. Most people don’t know much about the bond market. It is easy to buy a bond or a bond fund. If you have an IRA or Stock Broker account that is managed you only need call your broker and ask what the interest rate is now on a bond or bond ETF. You would want to look for an interest rate of over 5% as inflation is running between 6-8% depending who you believe. If you have a self directed account or self directed IRA, you need only call and ask for the bond desk and discuss how much you have to invest and see what he or she has and at what rate. Most brokers are more than happy to help you even if you have never purchased a bond before. I also recommend you check out PIMCO website as they have a great information about the bond market and future projections and research of the overall markets that can help you make a better decision. Once you call the bond desk you do not have to make the buy automatically and there is no commission or fee. The brokers fee is included in the spread so it ask different than purchasing a stock. The bond desk can call you back at your leisure for no fee once he knows how much you have to invest and for how long. I use TDAmeritrade 800 number and Bond Desk and they have always been professional and very helpful even when I knew nothing. Additionally there are bond ETFs and Bond Mutual Funds as well but because I prefer to not pay any fees or “loads” I prefer individual bonds but that may not be for everyone. Remember the bond market is much larger than the stock market and is not as exciting or thrilling but it is in many ways more stable.
