The standard SPDR ETF GLD unfortunately had Market Edge Research downgrade it to AVOID.  Market Edge is free research on Schwab Brokerage and probably other brokerages I would guess.   I am not sure I agree with them.  Often times there is money going into sectors even when research specialists say it should not be a place to be.  I have seen these over and over in my years trading.  Possibly, the market investors like what they like and for gold and silver and commodities it usually is a quest for safety and a safe place to avoid stock market drama.
