Is AI Going Nuclear? What Companies are Providing Power?
Vistra, ticker symbol VST is really worth taking a look at. It was mentioned on CNBS a few days ago and it was noted that the company sells energy and much of it to AI facilities who will be using huge amounts of electricity! Those AI production sites will need lots of power. Vistra is worth looking into and here is the company website link: https://vistracorp.com
I personally like Vistra a bit more than Constellation at this time and that is just a hunch at this time so I added 10 shares to my portfolio as a way to dip my toes in. Energy especially what they are labeling “clean energy” is a big deal and carbon based energy like oil and natural gas are experiencing a fall from grace by the general public. We see auto companies reporting dire outlooks with the owner of the Dodge Ram, Stellantis warning of “erosion across the auto industry” from today’s Wall Street Journal (Oct 1, 2024. I personally think the rush to electric vehicles is an oversold idea but I appreciate looking at companies as an investor regardless of my personal feelings. ALL WRITING HERE IS MY OPINION ALONE AND IS NOT CONSTRUED AS INVESTMENT ADVICE. Vistra is worth looking into more.
