Originally defined as the amount of heat required to raise the temperature of one pound of water by one degree Fahrenheit. 1 MMBTU is 1 million British Thermal Units. or 28.263682m3 of natural gas. One cubic foot of natural gas yields 1030 BTU between 1010 BTU and 1070 BTU depending on quality, when burned. We need to understand this when we look at Natural Gas prices.
